Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) is a crystalline thermoplastic engineering plastic with excellent comprehensive performance, widely used in automotive, electrical and electronic appliances, machinery and other fields. However, due to the poor flame retardant properties of PBT, it is easy to burn in the air and cause danger. Hence, the flame retardant modification of PBT has been a hot topic in the field of engineering plastics.

Our composite flame retardant for PBT mainly has the following advantages:
1. Adding 15-18% of this product to PBT containing 30% glass fiber (GF) can pass the UL 94 V-0 (1.6mm) rating flame retardant test. Moreover, some of the properties of this product are better than those of antimony & bromide flame-retardant system.
2. Processing temperature should be controlled below 260 ℃, and contact with strong oxidizing substances should be avoided to prevent the color change of the final product.
