Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), also known as synthetic rubber, is a material that possesses the excellent properties of rubber such as high elasticity, aging resistance, oil resistance, as well as the convenient processing characteristics of plastic. Generally speaking, TPE is flammable and requires the addition of flame retardants to make it flame retardant.
Alfa Chemistry provides composite flame retardant for TPE, which have a macromolecule structure based on nitrogen and phosphorus. The product adopts nano-embedded dispersion technology and has amazing dispersion in transparent materials. It retains some of the original transparency of the material, has minimal impact on the mechanical properties of the product, is non-hygroscopic and has excellent flame retardant properties. It produces an expanded carbon layer during combustion, realizing heat and oxygen insulation, preventing the further spread of surface flames, and achieving the effect of fire prevention and flame retardancy.
