Application Bis(2,4-dibromophenyl)-iodonium Sulfate (1:1) is an intermediate used in the synthesis of 2,2',4,4',6-Pentabromodiphenyl Ether (P237820) which is one of the Polybrominated di-Ph ethers (PBDEs), which are a new class of global, persistent, and toxic contaminants. It is used as Brominated flame retardants (BFRs) in various consumer products.
