Description HBCD is a highly brominated cycloaliphatic flame retardant. It is mainly used in Expanded and Extruded Polystyrene (EPS and XPS) for thermal insulation foams, in building and construction in order to meet required high fire safety standards. HBCD also finds application in the back-coating of textiles, SBR, adhesive, coating and UPR.
