Description The rubber products, including the conveyor belts used in the mining industry and the hoses in public facilities, etc., are very inflammable. Therefore, fire retardant must be available in all rubber product formulas, and some chloroprene rubbers, which may release a lot of hydrogen chloride gas in combustion, make the fire become more dangerous. Besides, the continuous friction and narrow tunnel space (this makes smoke discharging more dangerous) greatly limit the selection of fire retardant materials by relevant polymers. Therefore, the material of this conveyor belt type must contain magnesium hydroxide fire retardants.
Advantage Good thermal stability, being decomposed at 330°C, which is higher than that of aluminum hydroxide (220°C), and suitable for processing the resins with a high temperature.
The hardness is lower than that of aluminum hydroxide with less wear to equipment
Low agglomeration, easy to disperse, good fluidity and compatibility for finished products.
Better physical properties and fire resistance.
Good effect in synergy with fire retardants of nitrogen and phosphorus series, being able to supersede part of antimony trioxide according to the fire-retarding requirement of customers.
The price is more competitive. When it is used as a kind of filler, the amount of addition can be controlled according to the resin system and product performance requirements.
Mg(OH)₂ ≥90%
Packaging Can be packaged according to customer requirements
Particle Size ≤3 µm
Whiteness ≥90
